    Reminds me of a scene in the anime *Higurashi*, in which some out of town punk picks on a local in a rural town and people just start showing up, completely surrounding them while staring menacingly at the dude. They don’t make any threatening moves, they don’t say anything, they just make their presence known and act as a physical obstacle. It’s explained by an elderly person saying “If someone throws a rock at one of us, two will throw rocks back. If two throw rocks, 4 will throw them back. An attack against any one of us is treated as an attack against **all** of us.”

  26. Imagine this. You’re a citizen. You served in the military. You’ve been here all your life. And then one day, you look and four or five guys in civilian clothes with masks on their faces are walking up to your house.

    Are you going to go quietly to an El Salvador torture prison where I recently saw some clear documentation of mass graves located just outside the prison?

When you see the video of the ICE agents holding the girl down while she screams, it’s hard to believe that the girl is somehow a dangerous threat and the ICE agents are the good guys trying to keep us safe. Same with the video of the ICE agents smashing a car window. Same with the ICE agents who forced a mom and three girls outside in the rain in their underwear. (And in both those cases, it turns out that ICE made mistakes and got the wrong people they weren’t actually looking for!)

    We’re supposed to believe the ICE agents who are doing all these violent things are good guys trying to keep Americans safe. That’s not what they act like. How are we supposed to believe that?!

    ICE is the real threat.

  28. Part of me was upset that the citizens didn’t do more to protect these people. But I understand. You’re asking them to get arrested, brutalized and god knows what else.

    We need a leader for the anti-Trump movement. One with connections, intelligence and a brain trust of how to actually combat this with a unified front. That doesn’t exist currently, certainly not publicly.

    We have an abundance of non-MAGA loyal military generals out of work. We have a political party in the Dems who are largely just trying to post “gotcha” videos on YT to elevate their own brand. But some, like AOC, are out in the field trying to raise support. This is what is needed. Cindy who lives next door shouldn’t be blindly throwing themselves on the fire with no plan.

  32. There are so many people who need to be smacked across the head with a civics lesson. There are members of law enforcement who have sworn to uphold and protect the constitution but are then willing to violate our rights.

    It is not and should not be acceptable to pull people off the street without a warrant. How is that not understood?
