I got an email from a person who seems like to buy something from me on finn. She sent me this screenshot and the website https://finn.find618.icu/receive/order/NumberOfOrder – I’m not adding the number of order, bc. it seems there are her personal information: name and address. On the link I need to fill out my credit card info to receive payment. Suspicious on that website is, that all the link usually active on finn are dull. Also I cannot see this order on my finn page. Is this legit payment gateway? Tusen takk

  1. No. It’s a scam. Why should Finn use the top level domain .icu?

  2. Never seen it before. I’d also like to point out that the language is kinda weird. Seems machine translated, not natural to me

  3. There is only one thing bother me: how they got my personal email address, when I dont have it published anywhere on my finn profile?

  4. That you have to fill out your credit card information for a payment YOU yourself will receive is frankly ridiculous. Vipps is the payment most, if not all legitemate transactions are made in on Finn. Else, there are paypal, or even cash. But you as seller should NEVER fill out your credit card to receive a payment, like ever. Its the buyers responsibility to make sure you get paid, not the other way around

  5. It’s a scam, I got these before as well. Real buyers only contact you trough finn. There is no possible way for real buyers to directly contact you by email unless you give your e-mailadres to them.

Don’t click on those links and definitely don’t fill any of your information in those forms.
If you already entered your credit card information, please contact you bank ASAP and block your card

  6. Rule of thumb: If you are suspicious of something might being a scam, it always is. Something in your brain has told you to be careful because something is off.

  7. If someone emails you regarding something you’re selling on Finn instead of just sending you a message on the website, it’s a scam.

  8. Never click links. Go to finn.no manually if you’re gonna pay.
