Who do you think is responsible for this? The german government or the syrian refugees themselves?

  1. It is astonishing that even after living in a country for 6 years (the article is from 2021) 65% of Syrians cant get a job

  2. Reading the whole article I think you get a good explanation why things are like this. So I don’t understand why do you need an explanation. With the last two years taken into account it was rather hard to find a job and keep it, especially if you’re an untrained worker or if you don’t speak German at a decent level. The article doesn’t say that 65% of Syrians are unemployed, an uncertain number gets partial help from the government because they don’t earn enough.

    >Things seem to be moving in a positive direction for Syrians, however. The proportion receiving state benefits is lower than last year: in March 2020 it was close to 70%. Since then, many have got jobs as doctors – according to the German Medical Association, Syrians now make up the largest group among foreign doctors, with 4,970 employed throughout the country last year.

doesn’t look so bleak does it?
