  2. That implies these briefings still occur, but the president has no clue what is being discussed, and doesn’t care. The whole thing is unnerving.

  9. He always claimed to know more than the generals and intelligence experts. I suppose this is what that looks like in practice, choosing to remain uninformed. What do you think is the most alarming potential consequence of a president systematically skipping their intelligence briefings?

If I were in intelligence, this is the objective I would try to achieve.  Bore him to the point that he no longer listens and then he can’t give away information to the enemies he doesn’t know about.  Also, when he completely ignores a situation and it gets him in trouble but we did our best…oh well.

    The founders put protections into the Constotution to protect us against a threat identical to Donal Trump.

    He truly emulates everything the founders specifically denounced in their former oppressors.
