Don’t allow Russia to dictate these terms. You can be sure that over the 30 day ceasefire that Russia will be re-stocking their weapons and no doubt supplies from NK and China will be flowing in their direction
I can’t help but feel that Russia needs a ceasefire more than Ukraine. How long can Russia continue this crazy war. Sanctions should also say for a minimum of 5 years after the conflict ends to ensure there is no appetite to re-group and go again

Two thoughts here: Putin plays poker not chess, so this feels like posturing/bluffing more than anything. Second thought: WWI broke out not simply because Franz Ferdinand was assassinated, but because Austria-Hungary offered horrific terms to the Serbs that were meant to be rejected with the pretext that rejection would mean war. I know the timelines are a bit scrambled, but it’s eerie how many parallels there are between WWI and the war in Ukraine.
Why would they? The US is about to end support for Ukraine as all support packages are about to expire. Trump is dumb as a rock for believe that giving Russia anything they asked for and more would cause them to end their expansion.

Most of us can read between the lines. IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT UKRAINE DOES IN 30 DAYS because after those 30 days you should still be at peace… Unless you were planning something else? Like more warfare? Because it makes sense you don’t want them re-arming during a interim peace if you’re planning for more war.
The adage “**The bigger the smile the sharper the knife.**” applies well and for most bad faith peace deals from Russia. Only a fool would ignore this adage when dealing with Russia.
