Most of them look terrified. Some seem to just want to not think about it. Few are honest.
What‘s up with the Ukrainian guy, who thinks he can lecture his 93 year old dad, who lived through WWII, that there‘s no war and everything is fake? 🤦♀️
I hope that he just lied about this. Otherwise it is disgusting.
When that man said his opinion is negative and you expect the opinion to be pro Ukraine but then he says “Russian troops shouldn’t have left Bucha” and you’re like bro what
Stop making video interviews with people living in a totalitarian regime. It may cause losing their jobs, getting jailed/tortured/worse.
-No, it’s fake.
-What do you know about it?
-Nothing. *smile*

the dude talking about his 93 year old dad in Ukraine, smh
Watching these types of videos I have two conclusions and I speak Russian so I watch a lot of them:
1) women and men above 25 are fully supportive to putin and you can call them nwzis, considering their opinion about Ukraine
2) young people 18-25 typically know that tv is propagandamand are not supportive to putin, but only in big cities
If you ask small towns or rural areas they are nationalists, fascist and racists
Believe or not this are Russians…
Do you understand that openly speaking on CAMERA “Yeah, it’s Russians, I’m ashamed, fuck Putin, fuck war” is a crime in Russia?
Is this news? Not for neighbors of Russia that were telling the truths about russian values for decades.
These people are more concerned about repercussions in their own life, be it bigmac or access to clash of clans. Thousands of victims is not something to be burdened with.
This shows a clear divide between Russian citizens:
Young ones (18-25) are the ones that are more informed on the whole issue, have critical thinking and know that Russia is pushing propaganda and lying openly about the war, they can see through Putin’s bullshit clearly.
Middle generation (30-50) mixed opinions, some are already under the propaganda and blindly believe that whatever Putin and the Kremlin say is “pure truth”, while some other still retain critical thinking.
Old generation (60-80/90)…rotten, zombified and consumed by regime propaganda, no way of dealing with them, far too gone.
It’s hardly surprising as most people think that Ukrainians are bombing their own houses. Even tutoring their relations when they phone from Ukraine. There is a shift in attitude now as similar street surveys a month ago suggested the special operation was against America.
It’s the good old “ordinary people not admitting the crimes of their armies” and rejecting that their glorious army can be butchers, especially when they are empires or former empires. Same in the US, for France, UK, for Turkey, anyone to be fair.
I mean some of these were the absolutely braindead responses I would expect. I think everybody in Eastern Europe knows a few of these types of older soviet nostalgists. For some others I would also suspect that good old fear of speaking out enforces their apparent skepticism.
After WW2, when Germany was completely defeated on the battlefield, they made the Germans realise what they had done by literally dragging them to the death camps and showing the piles of bodies. Nazis were rooted out from every level of the government and the new government actively denazified the society. That’s what it took. How do you do that with Russia? Like it or not, Russia has the power to destroy entire world. So how can we do to them that was done to Nazi Germany? How do we make them see and understand what they have done?
Surprising moment of lucidity from the guy who complained about the radio from Ukrainian side being shut down and not having their perspective
Wish I could speak to these people, though I doubt I could change anyones mind.

Why is it that Ukrainians suddenly started killing themselves only once Russian soldiers showed up? People really need to start thinking more instead of the usual “we dont know whats real or fake so i dont know” positions much Russians take.
The it’s ‘Fake Crowd’ are morons. Danger to others.
Really looking forward to when deep fakes will be good enough to be believable. That will hit the final nail on our collective coffin smh
TIL there’s no Russian word for fake.
Also I’m both disappointed but also have some faith in the Russian people.
Why even ask them at this point?
We already know that the average Russian doesn’t give a fuck about this war and instead fully adopts a victim mentality.

They’ll never overthrow their corrupt government.
