People think I am being hyperbolic when I tell them that Donald Trump reminds me of my grandfather who has dementia, but I couldn’t be more serious. This is the kind of stuff that he would post on facebook. Crazy polls with nonsense numbers that anyone with a modicum of reasoning skills could see as such.
But, really, every day there is something that he does that is just grandpa with dementia. When he would go on the news and brag about how well he did in his cognitive tests. That was something that grandpa did. Everyone in the family was so confused and worried, because we KNEW that something was wrong; there was no way that grandpa was actually acing these tests. It was less than a year before the doctors said that he had dementia.
When Trump argued with that reporter about the MS13 tattoos. That sounded so much like my grandpa arguing about how margarine was actually made of 95% plastic “It’s true! My brother sent it to me on facebook!” He doesn’t add any new information, he just says the same thing again with a firmer tone of voice. “It’s made out of PLASTIC!…It’s MADE out of PLAS-TIC!”
I would be here all day writing if I tried to talk about what I think this means about how the administration is being run. So I won’t.
But Donald Trump, in my opinion, absolutely has dementia.
