  1. Shouldn’t be much of a revelation to anyone.  Trump’s entire approach was to try and isolate Ukraine and force them to capitulate with the goal of quickly ending sanctions with Russia.  He’s failed on every account so now he and his Russian pals are all frustrated.

  15. At this point, Putin is likely feeding the rumours intentionally, as a cheeky response to US’s warning of more sanctions. In the end, it is less important if Trump is or isn’t Putin’s president and more important that he behaves like it.

  16. It was intentional to humiliate the apprentice president and to remind Trump that he needs to take the Russian side in negotiations with Ukraine and European allies. It’s also signaling to Trump about the things they know about his entourage.

  28. It was intentional, not a mistake. All top leaders have their speeches listened to and analysed by other countries diplomatic and intelligence services.
    It was a message to the world. That they have Trump in their backpocket.
    He’s their boy. Currently doing their work. Destroying their old arch enemy, one brick at a time from the inside out. Like a cancer. He’s to far in, to be removed or stopped. Because his minions would just carry on if he was. “kinetically or surgically” removed. In the manner JFK was.
    Putin was just publicly bragging to the Russian people and to their Allied countries. Look at what we have, and you don’t.
    Putin the prick, has a sense of humour.

  30. Putin doesn’t make those kinds of mistakes. That’s Putin’s way of not-so-subtly reminding Trump that he’s in Putin’s Pocket and he better get in line.
