Good, what’s the bet most of them live within a 20 minute walk
Very funny
It is possible to drop kids to school by car and not be a dick with parking. Yes I have to get to work by car so I am going to drop off by car (25 min walk to school and breakfast club drop off no earlier than 8.15 and normal drop off no earlier than 8.45) but I can a walk minute so I am legally parked and not parked on a pavement or covering a drive.
I’ve seen some literally abandon thier cars on top of a button roundabout, take the kids to the school opposite then stand chatting to thier mates. I also see them stop at the same roundabout and open the door and let tiny little kids jump out and weave amongst the 4 way traffic to the school. A kid nearly died a few years ago with some idiot backing up at speed.
They park up all the kerbs onto the grass outside people’s houses and turn it to mud or they park across people’s drives.
I live across from a back entrance to a primary. The level of utter twattery from some parents is absolutely amazing.
The bus service got diverted, although the fire brigade didn’t half improve matters further down the street after rage ramming through a load of stupidly parked cars one time. Which must be amazingly satisfying. Jammy buggers.
Funny as fuck when the council send their boys around every now and then as it clears the area in seconds.
This kind of shit needs implementing where I live. I live opposite a school at the end of a cul-de-sac and yeah, I expect heavy traffic when school starts and ends, but most also decide to just park in my building’s parking until their fat kids get out. I guarantee a lot of them only live about 10-15 minutes walk away at most and simply don’t need collecting or dropping off, yet none of the parents have any regard for residents or even any other road users, it’s madness.
Almost always when I go to drop my kid who starts school after others there is some car parked on double yellows blocking maneuvers into the disabled bays. It seriously does my head it.
I work at a school and the parking is nuts. But my school also had an extension a few years ago where they built on the car park and now only allow staff to park in it. The only way to access the school is down a residential road. The school encourages people to walk or cycle but this is obviously not an option for hundreds of families.
Oh no, the consequences of my own actions…
The council closes a road near our local primary school at the start and end of the school day to prevent issues with parents driving to school.
If you can’t drive down the road, you can’t park like an inconsiderate arsehole, endangering children and inconveniencing residents.
