The Cypriot radio station RIK Trito will air the three shows of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 live from Basel.
Radio listeners in Cyprus will be able to listen to the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest live. RIK Trito the third channel of the Cypriot broadcaster CyBC and has aired the competition for a number of years.
Melina Karageorgiou and Alexandros Taramountas will be commentating for Cypriot television viewers on RIK 1. Melina and Alexandros are both well known in Cyprus as journalists and television presenters. Melina Karageorgiou is a presenter for RIK News while Alexandros Taramountas is a producer and presenter on one of RIK’s evening programs.
Theo Evan was selected internally to represent Cyprus at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland, with the song “Shh”. He will perform 15th in the first semi-final, on May 13. Read more about him here:

Cyprus debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981. Their best result was in 2018, with Eleni Foureira and the performance of the song “Fuego” won second place with 436 points. Before then, their best results in the contest came in the form of three fifth-place finishes. In 2004, Lisa Andreas performed “Stronger Every Minute” in Istanbul, Turkey. She finished 5th in the final scoring 170 points, which included 12 points from Greece. They also placed fifth in 1997 with Hara & Andreas Constantinou and their song “Mana mou”, and in 1982 with Anna Vissi’s “Mono i agapi.”
