1. Let’s stop focusing on race and gender and get an impressive candidate through a fair primary process. Donors can support who they want.

    I don’t like it, I voted for both Hillary and Kamala, and I think we’re overdue for a woman president, but the fact of the matter is that if democrats want a shot at winning in 2028 (provided we even have elections anymore by then) they need to run a “safe white man”

11. Gavin and Kamala have California in common. Usually the party goes for a high-contrast candidate after a loss. My money is on Andy Beshear. He’s a red state Democrat who has remained progressive on social issues. 

12. I’m canadian but I thought a tim Walz / AOC ticket might check the boxes. He’s out there doing all the town halls republicans are ghosting and she’s, aoc. America wont elect a woman president but they will obviously stomach a woman VP.

13. Might be Pete Buttigieg. He is in front of the camera a lot and comes across as really smart and levelheaded. He’s also likable

    Edit: I don’t care how rich he is. He has the balls to call fascists out to their face, a successful record in progressive governing in Illinois, he looks the part of a white successful man for the scared moderates, he’s willing to call out the billionaire class to be held accountable, and he’s a decent man.

    FDR was also wealthy. His 60m in 1940 is inflation adjusted to 1.3b in 2025. Would you all argue FDR wasn’t the most successful progressive president we’ve ever had?

    I’m sick of picking candidates that make us feel warm inside, but who don’t have a shot at winning.

    Edit: when I’m wrong I’m wrong, FDRs wealth was 60m after inflation. Doesn’t change any of what I said. Being a billionaire doesn’t make him a bad candidate.

16. I know this is probably wrong but I hope to the Lord above I’m right— Surely the party knows Newsom is not the answer. Pre-Trump 2.0, maybe, but he has went off the rails, capitulating all of this bullshit.

18. The GOP put up legitimately the worst candidate in my lifetime, three times in a row. They won two out of three. 

    Their only loss was to a generic old white guy. Twice they beat a woman. Noticing a trend here folks?

19. Chris Murphy has been doing amazing things not only around the Social Media and News but on the Ground Floor aswell. I like what I see in him.

20. Letting donors run the party is how we got into this mess in the first place.

21. As a POC I’m good with it. Just get the office back. We can’t try to force the country forward at the expense of everything else. The US is highly racist. It is what it is.
