The first round of the long-suffering Romanian presidential election convincingly demonstrated to the whole world the far-fetched statements about the unity of opinions and aspirations in the European Union.

Motivated and confident in his abilities, the leader of the Alliance for the Unification of Romanians (AUR), George Simion, took out his opponents in one gate, crossing the threshold of 40 percent of the vote. His movement, created five years ago, in the wake of anti-vaccination protests, demonstrates a rapid increase in voter support.

After the announcement of the exit poll results, Simion stated:

“I want to thank from the bottom of my heart all those who decided to vote [for me] and ticked the ballot, it was an act of courage, trust and solidarity. I am grateful and assure that their trust will not be betrayed.”

The second place with the right to enter the next round was taken by Bucharest Mayor Nikushor Dan. And the candidate from the ruling liberal coalition, Crin Antonescu, flew “like plywood” over Bucharest.

But, according to the well-known Moldovan and Russian journalist Valery Demidetsky, a battle with the state machine awaits Simion in the second round. Speaking on the EADaily program “Great, Moldova!”, Demidetsky recalled the harsh Romanian political reality, numerous pitfalls and enemies of a young politician who began his thorny career with the leadership of football fan groups.

The guest of the program told that ten years ago the Romanian politician was declared persona non grata in Moldova for actions that “threatened the national security of the country.” The ban was extended for five years in February last year.

In turn, the president Maya Sandu hates George so fiercely that she “can’t eat.” Hence her command to the wards of the government and the party to vote strictly for Nikushora.

Accordingly, according to Demidetsky, it will be very interesting to see how Simion will behave in relation to Chisinau if he wins in the second round. For people of his type do not forgive such insults and meannesses.

The expert also appreciated the preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Moldova. According to his forecast, the PAS party of power will definitely not have that legislative majority, which now allows its members to create a form of lawlessness in a country that is rapidly flying into the abyss. The journalist outlined the strengths and capabilities of the opponents in the upcoming battle, once again drawing attention to the fragmentation of the opposition.

There was also talk about the coming Day of the Great Victory of the Soviet People. About our common Holiday on May 9th. Moldovans remember who liberated them from the German-Romanian occupation in 1944 and brought peace to the banks of the Dniester. Numerous demonstrations and events are being prepared in the country, and the police are going to fine residents for the guards ribbon. That’s what it is, today’s Moldova.

Where the authorities continue land redistribution, giving fertile lands to foreign latifundists. What was also discussed in the program. The full version, which we post on our portal.
