    it’s going to take a cultural movement, a social revolution to gain back power at this point. voting will not be enough, and it will not be free and fair.

    right now, the fascists are setting the precedent to arrest protesters, so that come mid-terms it will be normal behavior of the government to violently silence dissent.

    luckily for the fascists, this will be easier than it should be, because the left has been controlled by neolibs for decades who value property rights over human rights and so they have set the societal standard of vilifying protesters, so centrists no longer view protest as an essential safeguard to democracy.

  13. The German SA for those that don’t know history. If these kidnappings keep up… ICE is going to find out that even legal green card holders are entitled to 2A rights. If it’s a choice between immediate harm… Or harm in a foreign prison… Choices are going to be made regardless.

  14. What kind of hell? Like a really really big protest with really really nasty placards? And some really strongly written emails? 

    If AOC thinks that she knows a way to give the administration hell that would actually reach them or affect them, then why wait for them to arrest a Democrat? Trump, et al, are doing plenty of stuff **now** that deserves that kind of response. So why aren’t we doing it? 

    (Answer:) Because people like AOC and Bernie are unable or unwilling to articulate a plan of action to **actually** give the Administration  hell.    So all she can do is make these angry threats, but she’s got no way to back them up.

    Had the heading “Democrats arrested after melee at ICE facility” and a woman very specifically calling Steven Miller “right” to call for suspension of habeas corpus because nothing matters besides stopping the “invasion.”

    Fucking bonkers.
