Hi All,

I came across this piece on the Honest Sorcerer substack. It argues that we’re running out of energy to maintain modern civilisation (amongst other things).

What do you think?

  1. Why do you continue to give this source oxygen?

    We need solutions – not poor ideas

  2. Classical delusional peak-oiler fantasy, perhaps better flavored than others, but still wrong.

    Fun read, tho, worth a few good laughs. P-}

  3. Another nonsense article – if resources were running out prices would be increasing exponentially. Engage your brain please.

  4. What do you mean by “running out of energy”? The sun alone is an inexhaustible source for all practical purposes. We also have wind, geothermal, tides, etc. We haven’t even come close to tapping what’s available.

  5. As usual the rush to the head the climate sellers and green wokists get when challenged seems to create a brain fog preventing them from fully grasping a reasoned debate. The article is not about oil being just used for energy, its about everything we produce and make and the raw materials required. The huge range of products made from petroleum and the lack of green so called alternatives and the costs involved where there are replacements. The problems of cheap oil making any remaining production uneconomical and the financial implications and practicalities of scaling renewables into a working grid. Its about a huge range of minerals and raw materials and its not saying collapse is about to happen it’s talking about decades to centuries. Its just saying we are seeing the start of the collapse. Excellent article that has triggered predictably those that seek to shut down debate. Already we see in this thread comments about why post the article at all. This is the best proof of the attempt to shut down debate on the climate change and green energy scandal.
