4.4 magnitude earthquake strikes Türkiye's Amasya

A 4.4 magnitude earthquake occurred at 12:23 PM local time in the Gumushacikoy district of Amasya, according to Türkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).

Amasya is a city in the Black Sea region, of northern Türkiye.

AFAD’s official website reported that the quake had a depth of 10.07 kilometers and was centered in Gumushacikoy.

Türkiye’s megacity Istanbul had been recently hit by a few earthquakes just last month.
