I feel like TfL buses should have little logos on the side of all the cars they’ve destroyed, like WW2 fighter planes

  3. Note to motorists – when parking your car, always straighten the wheels up after parking, rather than leaving your front wheel poking out at an angle, ready to grab a passing bus.

  9. Hey Catford friend! I walked past this today! That corner is absolute murder two lanes and you have buses trying to squeeze through surprised there’s not more of this.

  10. My car still has a streak of TFL red down the side from the last bus encounter, so I’ve got the reverse going on

  11. By the looks of Google maps and the markings opposite the barber, it looks like people are parking illegally which narrows the already narrow two way road.

    This of course doesn’t justify the damage to any vehicles but the council needs to sort this out.

  14. If cars aren’t going to get out of the way then maybe we should start fitting cowcatchers to the front of buses and trams.

  16. Okay so this does happen. Ever since I have moved to London, I have been wondering how do these bus drivers drive so well in tight spaces. Well, I guess they don’t always do so well.

  19. Someone, who I agreed in writing for a full dealership repair was not a bus driver, left a note on windscreen that read ‘dream on’.

  20. Look up the Traffic Commissioner, pretty much every commercial bus (or coach, HGV etc.) has to have a second licence from them (well, one of them by UK region) and the operator has to have a licence as well. Ironically, the function is the same as TfL for taxis.

  21. Time to ban on street parking. An eye sore – park and walk / ride with some new multi-story car parks to service a block. Parking fees would over building it.

  22. Are people that anti-car that they relish damage to a legitimately parked car caused by a bus? Wild.
