Oh no! Not the consultants! Won’t somebody _please_ think of the consultants!
It’s rough times for IT consulting companies in Finland at the moment. A lot of companies have people “on the bench”, which means the employer is still paying for their salaries, benefits etc. but they are not generating revenue from client work. Even companies with a high utilization rate (i.e. their employees are doing billable work a client is paying for) are getting pressure from clients to renegotiate their rates.
