Hello and welcome to our coverage of the Sean “Diddy” Combs federal sex trafficking trial.
The hip hop mogul, who is also known as “P. Diddy”, “Puffy”, “Puff Daddy”, among other aliases, will soon appear in front of a New York City jury.
He faces charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
I’m at the courthouse with my colleague Madeline Halpert, where the line to get into the building extends down several blocks. Some people have been camped out here since Sunday evening to secure a position.
The last time we saw Combs was at jury selection last week. He was in a prison jumpsuit, his hair was greyed and he wore glasses.
Jury selection took all of last week and we are expecting opening statement to begin this morning.
