  1. He should go anyway, with a full Ukrainian delegation and point out that the Russians are the ones ducking.

  2. Lol. I knew Vladia was too chicken to come.
and kremlin yet again shooting themselves in the foot by rejecting *their own* proposal for direct talks

    Sanctions incoming

  3. All of the countries threatening sanctions should do it right now in response to this as well as sending Ukraine large military aid packages

Russia should’ve been sanctioned in every possible way years ago, Europe and the UK need to do better

  4. It is political theater. Zelenskyy did this intentionally. Because he, and everyone who understands this war correctly, predicted that Putin is not serious about peace, or even a ceasefire. So, he made all this noise to then have Putin’s rejection in everyone’s face. To show everyone clearly that all talks are insincere. Weapons and ammunition are what works.

  5. Lol wasn’t it Putins idea for Turkey to host direct negotiations? Enough is enough trumpydumpy needs to realize ruzzia is full of shit and get behind Ukraine

  6. There is a point to theater, in all ‘impossible’ negotiations.

Getting 2 sides together merely to ‘pretend to negotiate’ might uncover some common ground for actual negotiations. How often do we make offers we hope are not accepted?

  7. If NAFO can meme the crap out of Russian news outlets with how much of a coward Putin is for the next 3 days it would be fantastic.

  8. Guessing Putin is afraid to leave his bomb proof shelters for any place he doesn’t have full control over.
Yeah, he’s a free man alright, just slave to his fear. When can we expect him to perforate his cranium in a bunker?

  9. Vladimir knows he has no path to what he wants through Zelenskyy. Russia is so much worse off than they pretend to be.

  10. Thank goodness the west is starting to stop pandering to Russia.

    It’s been a slow process.

  11. Russia: wants ceasefire

Also Russia: denies every ceasefire request and gives the dumbest excuse to why they rejected it

  12. Now sanctions like there is no tomorrow and extra weapons or it’s all a theater indeed. Slava Ukraini!

  13. Putin is a coward on the run at this point. He deserves nothing but the opportunity to walk into the Siberian wastes alone in winter. Shirtless, of course.

  14. LOL. Putin and the Russians are such cowards, wasn’t Istanbul literally the Russians idea yesterday? What fucking retards.

  15. So, what will the West do?
Again ask for consolidation? Go back to appeasing Trump that EU and Ukraine are working on “negotiations”? This was obvious long ago—just a theatrical performance for Trump, who failed to deliver on his promise to end the war in 24-48 hours. Because he couldn’t.

I truly hope EU will respond clearly by providing artillery, air defence and more. As for the USA… I have no faith that this administration will ever grasp that putler was never—and will never be—interested in a ceasefire. If he did agree to one, it would signal weakness, and even his own supporters would tear him apart.

  16. If anyone believes he was going to leave his bunker I’d like to sell you a submarine to explore Uranus 🤣🥴

  17. Right, Europe and the UK, are you all going to follow through with your threats of more sanctions and the supply of weapons, because now is the time to stop fucking around with Russia, they do not want peace, they make it obvious. Send everything Ukraine needs now to stop the killing and drive those fucks back to Russia.

  18. And there we fucking go. Did not take long for orcs to start dragging their feet. Again.

  19. NO, that’s what Putin has been presenting for years, the puppet master play again, perhaps no one should attend the show.

  20. This whole thing is performative theater for the orange idiot. Zelenskyy knows Putin doesn’t want peace but he has to play this game.

  21. Not surprising. The Russians “wanting” to talk was an obvious stall taktik after the west announced new sanctions. It’s not wonder they pull back the literal second the Germans didn’t take the bait.

  22. The tables are turning. Donald is re-aligning with Europeans readying of crushing sanctions.

  23. This is literally like the bullly has said “You wanna go outside?!” and then chickened out.

  24. I don’t think anyone has ever believed putin would show up. But this is good nonetheless because it shows (once again) who really wants peace and who doesn’t. Who stands by their words and who keeps changing their mind. Who’s principled and an example for everyone and who’s a spineless and disgustingly pathetic gremlin.

  25. What? Wasn’t it Putin and Russia that called for the meeting? My brain gets raped everytime I read something from the russian side.

(They called for direct talks, Zelensky said ceasefire first, Putin countered with direct talks, Zelensky said ceasefire from Monday onwards and direct talks thursday, Trump did his stupid tweets and urged for direct talks on thursday.)

This is the timeline if i’m not missing something. Fuuuucckk Putin and his eunuchs make me drop iq points when reading them.

  26. To many logistics for him, sending doubles all over the place

  27. I mean. Kremlin is not wrong… Everybody knew Russia would not agree to it, so going ahead anyway to expose Russian hypocrisy is kind of theatre – one where Russia is getting played.

  28. The only thing Putin ever does is is yank people around

When he’s not lying or planning & executing genocides

  29. Y’know that toxic ex that says one thing but means something else, and gets mad when you do said one thing they requested?

    That’s the Kremlin.

  30. I don’t whether to be dissapointed or celebrate that I was right.

  31. Putin would break any promise he were to make anyways. There is no peace to be had with an imperialist dictator like Putin. Only temporary agreements

  32. But… It isnt Zelensky’s proposal.

    It was putin’s.

russia really making it hard for reality deniers to try and spin that russia wants peace.

  33. I’ve often listened to arguments against NATO troops on the ground in Ukraine in an effort to prevent escalation. At a certain point time you have to realize though that escalation isn’t in your control. You may not want to enter a fight, but it sometimes isn’t up to you whether you get into it or not. We passed that point long ago. The only way this ends is with either no independent Ukraine or Russia is no longer a military power (using that phrase lightly.) From a global perspective resetting russia back factory settings is far more beneficial than having Ukraine fall. It’s been time to get into the fight, late is better than never, so if you didn’t do it yesterday, than damnit do it today!

  34. I’m curious to know what would happen to Russia if there was a ceasefire for 30 days. Can anyone elaborate what the negative implications are for Putin if this were to happen?
