I’ve often listened to arguments against NATO troops on the ground in Ukraine in an effort to prevent escalation. At a certain point time you have to realize though that escalation isn’t in your control. You may not want to enter a fight, but it sometimes isn’t up to you whether you get into it or not. We passed that point long ago. The only way this ends is with either no independent Ukraine or Russia is no longer a military power (using that phrase lightly.) From a global perspective resetting russia back factory settings is far more beneficial than having Ukraine fall. It’s been time to get into the fight, late is better than never, so if you didn’t do it yesterday, than damnit do it today!
