I don’t get why we’re actively helping one side thats committing war crimes whilst condemning the other side for committing war crimes. Ukraine and it’s government is nothing like it’s being made out and the whole situation over there is terrible.
What they’re doing is straight out of Russia’s playbook when it comes to shutting down opposition political parties that held seats in their parliament and the nationalisation of media under the governments overall control. We condemn Russia and China when they do these things but because it’s Ukraine it’s fine?
Prior to the Russian invasion, nobody really cared about Ukraine as it was highly corrupt and was a highly discriminatory nation but suddenly all of those things are forgotten or put to one side to blindly support them when the same people would be criticising other nations if they did the same.
Neither Russia or Ukraine deserve any help when they’re committing war crimes and when they’re nations that domestically have been doing things that far from align with the wests heavy, and unfortunately fading, views on freedom.
