The Princess of Wales has said that “nature is my sanctuary” in the first of a series of videos in which she will urge viewers to reconnect with the outside world.

Kate, 43, will release a video every quarter to coincide with the seasons as part of a project called Mother Nature. She said it was intended to remind viewers of the beauty of nature in “an increasingly complex and digital world”.

  2. Nice for people with no jobs and 100,000 acres of private land.   I’m middle class and if we go to the public park there is usually someone with a boom box blaring. 

    I would love to have even 50 private acres for peace. 

    Tell her to go to the average persons version of nature and then show us how it’s done.

    I used to be a big fan but can’t ignore how sheer the facade is now 

  4. Is the project Mother Nature supposed to promote the seasons? Is that it? What’s the purpose of releasing videos like this and calling it a project, this is what regular travel content creators post no offense I would hope a project from a royal would have more substance.

  12. Maybe it would be good for her to do some charity work so underprivileged kids could also enjoy nature?

    There’s a smugness to a very wealthy woman who hasn’t earned her wealth showing us how lovely her surroundings are, and ignoring the part of her job where she helps the less fortunate?

    Maybe tie this into helping families with young kids as part of her whole thing about Early Years?

    Way too much of Kate’s charity work is about celebrating her. It’s like she’s a kid excitedly telling us about things she likes instead of someone who is in the public eye because she supposed to be serving the public.

    Her fans will love this because they’re her fans. But this is a job. She’s supposed to be serving the public in the content that she puts out.

  13. I like nature too. Nature is nice. I’m not sure what she’s promoting though. I don’t quite get it. Is she supporting conservation? Does this tie in with Earthshot? Is she partnering with mental health professionals on the healing power of nature?

    Before Oprah’s show ended she featured a fairly wealthy woman who gave Oprah a home tour, which included an elaborate, custom reading nook in her library. And Oprah went on and on about how the reading nook was so beautiful and cozy and how everyone should build a reading nook in their house.

    This kind of reminds me of that.

  22. Yeah I mean I love nature too, I think we all do. I’d love to be able to spend more time outdoors connecting with the natural world but y’know, I actually have to go to work everyday.
    I used to like Will & Kate but they’re losing touch so rapidly.
