I got a similar view from north! I was so distracted from my work haha
Man I would spend all day on my balcony if that was the view
God, London is so lush.
That’s a really cool shot – love it
That from Dawson’s Hill?
I’m in south London too (close to you by the looks) what rain?!
Haha. I was under those clouds and it was wild. Never seen a downpour like that in London yet.
Severndroog Castle?
Looks like a scene from Independence Day
Wonderful! In Hyde park we had thunder but no rain.
NW here. We had around twenty minutes of solid thunder. Like the world was ending. Then a bit of rain and that was it
Amazing, west London we got nothing but sun
Hampstead got absolutely battered by this – it lasted about 35 mins. Heaviest rain I’ve ever seen in London. By the end of it there was 4 fire engines and an ambulance on the high street, streets were like rivers in parts.
It was very welcome.
Phase one of sun dimming experiments? /s
Nothing down south
Huge thunder I could hear for ten minutes in kennington. Not a drop in Brixton.
I saw it from a plane taking off from city airport
Bizarre today, flooded streets in Homerton, bone dry by the time I got to Hackney Marshes
My office is near tower bridge and had a view of the city this afternoon. We had maybe 5 minutes of fairly heavy rain, nothing crazy, but you could see the city being battered by rain. Very weird to be on the very edge of it
Dawson’s Heights ftw
Monstrous in E9. A local weather station recorded a peak rainfall rate of 87mm/hr. The gutters in our building were overwhelmed and now we’ve got 3 flats with soaking wet internal walls. Roofer coming tomorrow to advise on repairs etc. Complete nightmare.
Bloody hell mate , how tall are you??
Rain is the reason why I keep visiting france instead of uk
