  1. This is a no-brainer. The man should definitely be in.

  2. There are many songs i love by him and have never listened to the og version all the way through.

    Most recently, aluminum fooooooiiiilllllll

  3. 100% support this. I’ve been introduced to tons of music thanks to Weird Al.

  4. Wierd Al is a god damn national / international treasure. He’s got more talent than most and is humble as fuck.

  5. When I was a kid I had heard “Smells Like Nirvana” before I even knew who Nirvana was. He really did open the door to a lot of music I might not have found on my own in my younger years

  6. Why would I want wierd A1 made with ketchup in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame when I rejected it’s entry into the Beef Toppings Hall of Fame?

  7. The rock hall of fame is a joke so I think he’ll fit in perfectly

  8. Albuquerque used to be a favorite of mine. Loved the whole journey of it and always found the story really fun

  9. I’ve been Livin’ in the Fridge for much longer than I’ve been Livin’ on the Edge.

    Agree 💯

  10. 100%. Weird al was my first concert as a kid and it was amazing. Legend.

  11. Agreed. Weird Al is a talented musician and he spans genres

  12. At first glance I read that as weird A-I, just so saturated with the artificial intelligence BS that I thought some MBA found another medium to shove the buzzword of the day into.

  13. Generations of goodness. National treasure that weird Al.

  14. Is Chat GPT even Eligible yet… for real though Wierd Al for President has a nice ring to it

  15. I grew up with weird Al and a had a good chuckle when my then teenage nephew tried to introduce me to his new fav artist called Weird All

  16. Weird Al introduced me to Nirvana, which was my gateway drug to rock.

  17. I first CD ever was Dare to be Stupid. I was 9 years old, had no idea about music— don’t even know why I bought that particular album.

26 years later I still love comedy and music.

  18. At first I read the headline as “Weird A.I.”, and now I want that inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame, too.

  19. He has a shit ton of original music that is just as good, if not better than the parodies.

  20. He’s correct. Also, still waiting on The Guess Who.

  21. I mean he did write the song that Beat It is a parody of after all

  22. Weird Al isn’t even in the Polka Hall of Fame. That’s how messed up this is.

  23. Aluminum Foil is better (and less racist) than Royals by a vast margin

  24. I owe my love of music to Weird Al, his cover of Smells like teen spirit was so influential to me.

  25. His impact on music is undeniable and has been a cemented icon for multiple decades. Get him in.

  26. Several of his versions are the only version of the song I’ve ever listened to

  27. I voted for him the last time he was on the ballot. Sorry to see he didn’t get as many votes as I thought he would. It would also be cool to see an exhibit with his version of several of the songs with the originals. Would be a hit for the hall of fame.

  28. He’s right in my case. As a kid I knew the lyrics to his parodies before the actual song which I. Would search out after.

  29. He’s not wrong. When i was a kid, buying a weird al disc basically meant i got all the popular songs i liked but with funny lyrics. A mixtape before mixtapes
