The Ireland women’s squad has been stunned by the news that highly-rated defence coach Hugh Hogan will not be part of Scott Bemand’s backroom team at the World Cup.
Hogan is the second defence coach to leave the set-up in two years following Declan Danaher’s departure in 2024. Hogan was brought on board to replace him ahead of the WXV1 tournament last year and has impressed the players.
