How does this look for a Croatia itinerary? Missing something? Can we skip something?

  1. I think you are trying to squeeze in too much and you are not taking into account that you will spend some time stuck in traffic waiting for the ferry.
Try to spend at least two days in Split and two in Dubrovnik. I don’t think you can see everything you planned in just one day.
And in general, while everything looks close on the map, you have to take into account that the traffic might be slow and the ferry is quite slow, so going from one spot to the next might take longer than you expect.

  2. Honestly, feels a bit too busy for one week. Feels like you’ll spend a week running around 🙂 I do understand the desire to see it all, but you’ll likely miss a lot.

    I’d either do Split/Trogir + islands (Hvar, Vis, maybe Korčula) or Dubrovnik/Pelješac + Mljet/Korčula.

Hourly itinerary feels quite tight. Better to plan in half-days, IMHO.

  3. Ziplining? Meh.

I’d rather spend a day at the beach, the vicinity of Omiš is some of the best our coast has to offer (provided it is warm enough for a swim, of course).

  4. Often people try to squeeze in as much as possible in their travels. Too much sightseeing and travelling to a point where you forget about having fun and/or relaxing. You should definitely drop something of your list.

  5. If I was asked to put together the most basic bitch itinerary for visiting Dalmatia, this would be it. Congratulations. Enjoy your trip!

Oh, I really hope you like being in a rush.

  6. If you start in Split and going south, stop by Makarska, my favorite place. You wont regret it. Trogir can be done in a few hours..

  7. Everyone saying it’s a tight schedule – well some people like to travel like that! 🙂 I for one do, and prefer running around seeing as much as possible. The thing is, croatians are used to holidays at the coast that look like this – rent an apartment for a week, go to the same 2-3 beaches in vicinity, drink beers at the beach bar, maybe go on a day trip. We don’t have a FOMO since the coast is right there so we take it easy and relax during a holiday. Of course, someone who’s visiting from afar will want to pack in as much as possible and I say go for it 🙂
