Hey all,

I'm planning to emigrate to Poland in the near future. I used to live near Katowice in 2017 for a brief teaching contract, then returned home to focus on university. Poland is the only place in my life I could feel comfortable enough to call home, so I hope to go back permanently (After a trip, or five, since 2017 was a lifetime ago from COVID and Russia's war).

I am planning to come to Poland as a student at Uniwersytet Gdański for the year-long intensive Polish course (https://polski.ug.edu.pl/kursy/intensywny-roczny-kurs-jezyka-polskiego-i-kultury-polskiej/). I'm hoping to secure some kind of English teaching job, then progress onto a work visa for the foreseeable at a school, or I'll do further study in education/teacher training if I need to.

Before coming to Poland, I'd want to volunteer teaching English online to Polish students to build some networking and experience specifically teaching Polish students. I have a few years teaching experience, can prep students for IELTS and can offer business English. I'm looking for any organisations across Poland that are willing to take online volunteers. Any suggestions?

  1. My friend teaches English, Japanese and Spanish in some locals schools in and around Kraków.

I can ask him. Though he is doing it for a living (but the salaries due to the amount of classes he can do are so low that its almost like volunteering)

The koszcziusko foundation as far as i remember organizes English camps.
You can also try AIESEC (i went to China for a while via them as a volunteer)

Apart from it… google i guess. Try looking around, checking some options here and there
