  1. “An Israeli air strike on the emergency department of Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza has killed a well-known Palestinian photojournalist.”

This is such a fucked up sentence. I hope when this is all over, we have a trial like at Nuremberg. Nothing will bring them back, but they deserve justice at least.

  2. Systematically murdering journalists. Israel has killed the most journalists of any state in history. Someone must stop these barbarians.

Another horrible targeting was the killing of photojournalist Fatima Hassouna, weeks before her wedding and along with ten of her family members including her pregnant sister. The strike happened within a day of an announcement a documentary about her will screen at Cannes.

Before she was killed, she had asked Haidar al-Ghazali, a poet in Gaza, to write a poem for her when she died:

“Today’s sun won’t bring harm. The plants in the pots will arrange themselves for a gentle visitor. It will be bright enough to help mothers to dry their laundry quickly, and cool enough for the children to play all day. Today’s sun will not be harsh on anyone.”
