Vanessa Redgrave says she’ll ‘never be reconciled’ to daughter Natasha Richardson ‘dying in the snow’

3. She fell in a beginner ski lesson (wear a helmet) and hit her head. She was medevaced later to NYC where she died in a hospital 2 days later.

   So I assume “died in the snow” is a poetic turn of phrase.

4. So sad she passed so young. The parent trap was a favorite of mine growing up and even as a kid I thought she was gorgeous. RIP

5. I ran into Vanessa Redgrave one night very late in Manhattan. I guess she was in a play. I was so sick and trying to find a pharmacy and the area was weirdly deserted. We said hello and I said I wouldn’t get too close because I was so sick. She was so kind to me. We got a little closer for a quick chat and she insisted on me getting a picture. The mom vibes are so strong. Lovely lady.

6. Her death also absolutely devastated Liam Neeson and according to him, is one of the major reasons why he just kept making action movies, no matter what the premise was, as a way to cope with her death and keep his mind busy

7. This happened to my cousin but much slower. He was in a car accident with a head injury. The hospital refused to do an MRI and sent him home. He died about a week later after being hospitalized because blood started coming out of his nose.

8. Joely and Vanessa both played Queen Elizabeth I in the movie Anonymous. I didn’t know this when I first watched that flick, and was amazed at the uncanny resemblance and acting. Imagine my surprise when the credits rolled.
