Putin is an idiot obsessed with power and his image of imperial Russia, of course he’s not serious about peace talks unless the conditions agreed make it a victory in his eyes. But Ukraine is luckily actually doing quite good in the war so I doubt they’d agree to some conditions that would be too bad for them either. Given that, I’d presume the west will very happily accept any eventually agreed peace that Ukraine feels is good enough for them.
