1. Yep, this is a lot of my day job right now. And I can tell it will be for who knows how much longer in the future.

   Jobs and tax revenue. That’s the only ways to make them care about it.

   We can’t even use the old arguments about personal rights and national security, because they’ve quit pretending to care about those issues. At least at the federal level, and in several states.

2. Gop logic rests on assumptions that do not correspond to anything in the real world.
