  1. I wonder if Sunak is following the caste system in India where the untouchables ( poor and disabled) are constantly being isolated from those who deem themselves superior?
Something is driving his contempt for our disadvantaged here in the UK.

  2. ‘Hold talks to tackle energy crisis ‘ a month after most EU countries already acted- and some massively limited the rise.

  3. I’ve not seen any photos of Sunak that don’t look like they are promotional photos. Everything uses depth of field to really make him stand out, like it’s some kind of model shoot. Most ‘news’ photography usually uses a documentary style instead.

  4. I really hop the public remember this is the Conservative party at work. They could get rid of Johnson and his entire clown show any time they want. The war in Ukraine is no excuse anymore, its pretty clear that the UK isn’t a player on the diplomatic front (and even if we were Johnson would be a liability), so they need to get a grip and kick him out for the good of the country.

  5. So labour is against tax now? Not sure how a left wing party criticizing a right wing party for raising taxes makes any sense. I think starmer might regret this, as the ‘mr tax’ moniker is bound to be applied to him in an election campaign now.

  6. Sunak is not meant to tackle the cost of living, that is not the Tory strategy right now. What he did was done in a poor attempt to make it look like the Tories were doing something. It normally works but the Tories seemed to have no idea of how badly the middle class were feeling the pinch this time, meaning they no longer had the press on their side, nor working class Tory voters, nor pensioners.

  7. You can’t solve this in the short term.

You can throw an enormous amount of public money at it, much of which will end up in Shell, BP or Russia’s hands. Or you can do nothing. Those are the only options.

There is a question about why we were allowed to get into this position. But now we’re here, we’re here. There is no magic wand solution.
