This is the most facebook mum post ive seen in a while.
Fun fact: Dairy cows are forcibly impregnated on a regular basis. This is required for them to produce milk.
Fun fact: After a dairy cow gives birth, its calf is taken away from it and they usually don’t ever interact again. Cows show clear signs of grief when their calf is taken from them.
Fun fact: The vast majority of dairy cows spend their entire life in a concrete-floor enclosure.
Fun fact: Most dairy cows are killed when their milk production slows down, usually about 4-5 years (20% of their lifespan).
Fun fact: Every nutrient found in cheese is also found in plants. In other words – we do all of this for pleasure.
