I can’t help but see Macron as a complete PR-clown. How is he seen in France?

  1. I like him, Greek politics are very close to French ones. Practical center and Nazi left and right

  2. He sent a bunch of weapons and vehicles quite early on, and has been key in the international side of things. Scholz was a big let down for a while. OP, you smell vaguely of eau de kremlin

  3. Funny thing regarding Scholz and Merz btw. In the beginning of the war Germany’s deliveries to Ukraine were secret, but due to public backlash (“Germany is only sending helmets”) and Merz demanding that the deliveries should be transparent, Scholz’ coalition decided to make them public. Now, that Merz is in power and people start asking he fulfills his promise to send Taurus, deliveries are made secret again. I wonder why

  4. Reminder that we also got Thought and Prayers during Covid, by half of the blue countries there.

  5. Germany sent weapons… after a long periods of delay and, I suspect, behind the scene pressure from other NATO members.

  6. France was the largest arms exporter to Ukraine between 2014 and 2020 with over €1.6 billion worth of weapons provided. Among them were: helicopters, reconnaissance drones, navy-related weapons and equipment, targeting systems, ammunition of various calibers and fire control systems.

The full extent of French military aid in the context of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine is unknown as many specifics are neither shared by France nor Ukraine.

  7. Honestly, every country has been a disappointment. If we had gone all in from the start of the invasion, the Ukrainians would be in Moscow by now.

  8. he’s seen as an asshole, tho we did and stull do a lot for ukraine more than what you pretend with your map, but the thing is because of our amazing neighbor germany we lost a bit of our production capacity when it come to weapon and it take tume, plus we cannot afford in such troubled time to weaken too much our army

  9. Hey man, we’re giving Ukraine comic relief by existing.

  10. He’s a clown but France did quite a lot.

How are those taurus missiles Scholz refused to send, op ?

  11. Sure Hans, Pierre literally sent tanks when you were still pussy footing around, same with ballistic missiles.

  12. I’d say our Leopards are more than just thoughts and prayers… It’s a shame they can’t shove their barrels up Putin’s arse.

  13. I cant fully see it that way. Macron was pivoting a lot, but at least is rhetorically not afraid to step on Putins or Trumps toes unlike Olaf Scholz, for example.

  14. France just announced that the entirety of the 2025 production for CAESAR howitzers will go to Ukraine, but go off I guess

  15. Are you aware we’ve sent billions worth of military hardware to Ukraine including Mirage fighter jets?

  16. While this is funny, and I’m never opposed to bashing the French, the level of support provided to Ukraine is not something easily quantified with public accounting records in € terms even if it’s a game the media like to play. Like we’re known to provide vital signals intelligence and war gaming – how do you quantify that?

Tbh I’d be surprised if the French contribution was markedly lower than the UK or German contribution.

  17. Its weird to see Macron bootlickers calling you a russian bot for calling him out on not giving more aid to Ukraine. I also have the feeling he talks a lot, but when it comes to aid well, nothing that stands out, if anything the contrary.

And I’ve seen someone comment that France helps Ukraine but just not in public. That’s cope mate. If I cannot see a transparent aid report in your democratic country, I will assume it does not exist.

  18. Germany only sends broken helmets. What are you on?

  19. French military is called “La grande muette” literal translation would be the tall mute but the big mute is more appropriate.

They don’t say shit so you only have a vague idea of the extent of the french help.

Zelensky thanked France many times for all the help “we” provided, so there’s that.

  20. All the Caesar howitzers produced this year are being sent to Ukraine.

  21. Oh jefe, ai am sorri our (estimated) 2.5 billion euro is not inoz

Let mi check if ai can sell some of mai churros to gib yu more

  22. I believe France has been vocal but also put a lot of vehicles in. I’m happy the Netherlands stepped up but I’m also thankful fro France and the rest of Europe.

  23. Hey buddy, we might not have the biggest budget but we’re still sending Ukraine aid and are delivering them F16s as soon as we can

  24. He is seen as at the end of a mandate that won’t be renewed. So he is free to do crazy things but has run out of vision and made howlers like holding elections that didn’t need to be held and losing them.

He has a prime minister that hasn’t got a clue and he has robbed from the working and middle class to give millions to the ultra rich. He has failed to address the pressing problems of France and been distracted by petty issues and popularism. He didn’t listen to the recommendations of the ecological group that is made up of citizens and vetoed their initiatives.
He hasn’t booted extreme views into touch but used politicians with dogmatic views to grab voters from the extremes.instee.of offering a real project. His project has been one of undermining workers rights, the health and education system, and basic social services whilst running up a debt that he now blames others for.
He has puffed out his chest at key international moments, cringe worthy at best and arrogant smugness at worse. In two years we will have presidential elections and at the moment we are seeing infighting from the soft right, an election ban on Marine Le Pen from the extreme right, the extreme left published a program that doesn’t stand up and the middle are in a muddle and the soft left are nowhere to be seen.

So France is worse off, with a decreasing quality of life, an increasingly violent society, with inflation slowing and unemployment slowly increasing.
Key problems like global warming and international fiscality haven’t been addressed and the President has no clothes.

It’s been the same discussion since Sarkozy.
A creation of a bogie man in the form of insecurity and violence and a fake strong armed approach while money goes upwards.
In 2017 the at risk of poverty rate was 13% and today it’s 15.9% (https://tradingeconomics.com/france/at-risk-of-poverty-rate-eurostat-data.html)
As of 2023 47%of the wealth of France is owned by just 10% of the population.
Macron has done nothing to address gender inequality, and has accelerated patronialism.

    So before Macron
    Strong unions
    Strong industrial tribunals
    Strong health and social care
    Strong retirement care
Strong educational system with excellent reputation for maths
    Better distribution of wealth
After Macron none of this is true

  25. I think that Italy can’t legally disclose what it’s being sent.

Watching trains loaded with tanks leaving the border, reported by so many people, reassure me a little bit that we are at least trying to do the right thing.

  26. In France he is seen as a moron (like every French president), but not for the reason you think lol

Regarding Ukraine, nobody disagreed with him

  27. OP you evil agent of doom, take down that german flair and show your true colours

  28. France started to send men and weapons as early as 2014 after the invasion of Crimea and we don’t know the tenth of it.

  29. He is seen as the alternative to Le Pen.

Most people would win when your opponent is a nazi. Only with him was it close…

  30. I see him as a dangerous megalomaniac. He is dragging us to a war.

Apart from that, he has balls of steel. Always biased. I guess French people hate him, but France seems Chadder in this sub thanks to him.

  31. Honestly, Macron is doing quite well as foreign minister. Our Cum EX Chancelor Scholz did basecally nothing and doing nothing in a crisis is the worst you can do.

  32. Awful map

France and spain have both heavily supported Ukraine Military wise

  33. Not to be that guy but Italy has sent quite a few weapons, just quietly. Instead of having press conferences saying “Look at us, we’re sending weapons” and have people oppose the military aid on the streets and in Parliament, we just send the weapons while saying nothing. This is not just with Ukraine, it’s how Italy always does arms deals. It’s the reason why last year all of a sudden Puma 6×6 troop transports and Centauro TD’s started appearing between Ukrainian ranks. This way Russia gets jumpscared by new equipment they had no idea was coming.

  34. Dear Russian bot, you are wasting your budget posting on Reddit.
    Signed,

    everyone.
