  1. …and then grinds to a halt, as many Republicans realise that without him, they’re screwed.

  2. and then republicans and maga stop this from going further

  3. When is he going to jail for inciting the JAN 6th Revolution

  4. It could amount to absolutely nothing, and most likely will, but if there’s a non-zero chance of it being the out some republicans need from this chaotic shitstorm…what’s the harm in trying?

  5. Rep. Thanedar has done a fair job of outlining the main areas of publicly known malfeasance from this administration. But there are way too many offenses to condense down to just 7 half baked articles of impeachment.

  6. oh well, at least it wastes time from other stupid shit passing through

  7. So who are the Democrats who are going to vote against this? My bet is Jared Golden. But I’m open to suggestions.

Can’t wait to hear from the “moderates” why it’s a good idea to play dead and let Trump do whatever he wants /s.

  8. Will he have time to scrounge a superyacht from Kuwait or Iraq before the impeachment, do you think?

  9. This impeachment is a temperature check vote. If you have Dems voting against it, it shows you that they are putting politics over country. Every Dem needs to be on the record to publicly support impeachment!

  10. It’s a very very very weak case. All it does is it helps DT and his folks argue that its a witch hunt.

He’s gonna do something far more egregious in the next 3 years, I’d wish the bullets would be saved for then.

  11. When are we going to learn that Newsweek articles are nothing but clickbait headlines?

  12. Unless Congress votes to remove him from office, this action is futile.

  13. As others have said; going through the process forces the Repubes to vote and be on record for their compliance.

We can’t stop trying just because it hasn’t worked yet.

Hopelessness only exists to those who have given up.

  14. Sadly nothing is going to happen. We shit our pants and now have to sit in it.

  15. What does it accomplish? Seriously. He’s been impeached twice already and yet here we are.

  16. This Reddit constantly complains about democrats being at fault for letting Trump do what he is doing like they have some sort of power to stop it which they don’t. Well this is the token stuff they can do to show they are trying. They can do this and they can complain publicly and they can take him to court. The only part that actually works is the taking him to court but that is a slow process.

  17. Won’t go anywhere. He was impeached before but nothing happened.

  18. Cool another certificate for him to hang in the Oval Office that means jack shit.

  19. Isn’t this the plan according to the Dark MAGA video? Get rid of him to install Thiel’s pet as president?

  20. Trump already got 2025 well underway and is taking the blame for it. Could be that the cabal is about to ditch him in the near future and continue on with CF Vance.

  21. Bruh it’s too soon they should’ve waited until 2026 to see if we can win the house and senate

  22. Why doesn’t impeachment result in immediate dismissal like it does in countries like South Korea? Seriously asking.

  23. The chambers are both red. Nothing is going to happen.

  24. Fun thought, alas it’s only a symbolic gesture. We’ve seen zero indication any substantial number of GOP has the desire or spine to break ranks.

  25. This is an opportunity for a few republican reps to look like heroes. If they break from their party, it would be very very VERY easy for media and the history books to commend their bravery in saving the U.S. from a seemingly inevitable dictatorship. Would they actually be heroes? Of course not! But idc at this point.

  26. Pointless. Whilst he SHOULD be impeached, the Republican Party will just vote it down no matter what the evidence is.

  27. Once again Democrats are perfoming. Knowing full well they ain’t got the power. If Dems were serious about Trump, Harris would never have been the candidate.

  28. The rest of the world is confused since you guys went down this road before.

  29. Question: assume the impeachment passes and also the proceeding trial, requiring him to leave office. What happens when he refuses to leave office? (Considering he’s practically ignored every slightly negative order coming his way thus far, and considering Jan 6 2021, it would be surprising if he didnt refuse to leave office in such a scenario)

  30. Which probably means nothing because we all seen how effective his last 2 impeachments were.

  31. His crimes are literally to numerous to count at this point.
