Glasgow Pride bans political parties from taking part amid Supreme Court row

1. Birmingham, Brighton, London and Manchester Pride have all done the same.

2. Pride organisations essentially saying “fuck hypocrisy” is a pretty good thing I would say, but there are probably people who’ll pearl-clutch over people’s right to be hypocrites or some nonsense.

3. Good. If our political class are happy to backslide on LGBT+ rights in this country, they shouldn’t have the right to go to Pride events for photo ops.

4. Does it apply to all parties?

   Completely fair decision, but if someone set up an “LGBT party” that specifically campaigned on issues affecting the LGBT community, would they also be banned?

8. Good. Nobody allowing trans people to suffer should be getting photo ops.

9. Good, entities directly responsible for snatching away LGBT+ individuals’ humans rights should not be allowed to gaslight us into believing they actually support them.
