  1. > The United States is opposed to extending an invitation to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to attend the NATO summit in The Hague on June 24.
    >
    > Allied diplomatic sources confide this to ANSA.

    > At the moment, invitations have only been sent to the four Asian partners: Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand.
    > “Almost all allies have expressed concerns to Washington about this choice,” specifies a source. The topic, among others, could come up at the informal Antalya Foreign Ministers’ meeting, which opens this evening with a dinner hosted by the hosts.
    > The organization of the The Hague summit will indeed be one of the agenda points, although no decisions are expected, as the meeting is informal. At present, a very tight schedule is expected for the summit of leaders, in contrast to what happened in previous years, in order to avoid potential friction with Donald Trump.
    > A dinner hosted by the Dutch royal family for the leaders will take place on the evening of June 24—where the Asian partners are expected to participate—while the main session, dedicated to increasing military spending and finalizing the adoption of capacity goals, will take place on Wednesday, June 25. For now, though this may change, no NATO-Ukraine Council at the leader level is expected, as has happened in the past. One possibility, at least to avoid completely excluding Kyiv, is to organize it at the level of Foreign and Defense Ministers, who will still participate in the summit.

  2. As a European I’ll gladly trade US for Ukraine. Better have an ally nearby than an enemy within.

  3. Form the kernel of a real military alliance with the “coalition of the willing”. No need to be delayed by Hungary or US.

  4. Invite him anyway. Fuck the US, it isn’t the leader anymore.

  5. Kinda whack. Is it just for like initial talks I’m guessing but even then

  6. It’s his fucking country, he’s the President of Ukraine for fuck sake! Fuck Trump! I disavow my nation, used to be a tremendous patriot; now I just wish to see America burn…

  7. If Putin does not go, Zelensky should not go to. It’s a weird strategy but it might work in getting Putin in the next run. I honestly do not know the right decision but sometimes certain actions have a reaction.

  8. I am against inviting the USA being invited to anything; doesn’t stop it from happening.

  9. Time for the US to fuck off now. They are t making decisions rationally. They are in opposition to the majority of NATO. Seriously help Ukraine or fuck off. Russia has no say here.
