Detroit Red Wings forward Lucas Raymond scored a goal and added an assist to help Sweden defeat Latvia 6-0 Wednesday and remain perfect at the World Championship in Stockholm.

Sweden (4-0) leads Group A with 12 points and has outscored its opponents 17-3.

Detroit’s Simon Edvinsson (18:27) and Erik Gustafsson (17:55) did not figure in the scoring. Samuel Ersson made 20 saves for the shutout.

USA 6, Norway 5 (OT): Tage Thompson (Buffalo) completed a hat trick with a power-play goal at 4:09 of overtime. The U.S. led 5-1 less than three minutes into the second period before Norway stormed back to tie it. Stan Solberg scored his third goal of the game with 1:27 remaining in the third period to force OT. Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, the Red Wings’ top pick in 2024, contributed two assists for Norway, which registered its first point after three regulation losses. The U.S. is 2-1-0-1 (W-OTW-OTL-L), good for eight points.
