"Sea battle" on the water and in the air, between the Estonian Navy group and the Russian tanker JAGUAR caught on camera.

What was the situation: — the Russian oil tanker was sailing under the Gabonese flag through the international waters of the Gulf of Finland to the port of Primorsk;

— the Estonians began to demand that the Russian tanker change course and follow their instructions;

— an AgustaWestland AW139 helicopter and an M28 Skytruck aircraft (former C-145A) got involved;

— the Estonian Navy patrol boat EML Raju (P6732) approached the tanker very closely — the Russian Su-35S flew in to "fight back" the tanker;

— the finale: the tanker crew did not comply with the demands, so this attempt to detain it was unsuccessful. A similar situation, with less action, occurred on April 11. Then the Estonian Navy reported the detention of the tanker Kiwala, which was traveling from India to the Russian port of Ust-Luga. So, the conclusion is that the situation in the Baltic is getting worse and worse, and it's no secret because of whom.

  1. What was the tanker doing tho…? Shadow fleet? Dragging anchor?

  2. I hate how they bully and get away with so much. It’s like the high school bully you just want to see get smashed up.

  3. How did Su35 get there, were there any of Nato fighters in position?

  4. Shame that the NATO air police jets stationed in Lithuania didn’t react to this..

    Now this is how Russian Media covers the incindent:

    ❗❗ The Estonian Navy and NATO aviation attempted to seize the JAGUAR vessel with a Russian crew, but were repelled.

    The tanker was en route to Primorsk in the Leningrad region and was in neutral waters.
    The Estonians launched a helicopter, a boat, and a NATO fighter jet to intercept it.

    Despite threats to ram the vessel and attempts to deploy troops from the helicopter, the crew did not fall for the provocation and continued on their course.
    At some point, a Russian Aerospace Forces SU-35 came to assist our vessel, which caused the Estonians to panic and abandon their attempt to seize our tanker.

    Now the Estonian authorities accuse the SU-35 of violating their airspace.

  6. I was always taught not to draw my weapon if I’m not going to shoot. So what exactly Estonians were planning to do if Russians will not comply?

  7. They should just open fire on this tanker at this point lol cant just leave it? Or board it but i guess international waters loop hole works.

  8. > under Gabonese flag

    > in international waters

    so what’s the reason to detain it exactly..?

  9. everybody gangsta till PZL M28 Skytruck goes into dogfight

  10. Clowns. Poland and estonia have disgraced themselves again

  11. Please leave our waters or we’ll be forced to politely ask you again. Thank you.

  12. Screaming, crying soyjak Estonians vs flexing, mewing gigachad “Gabonese”

  13. I wish there was a way for the coastguards to tie and anchor to the ship and immobilize it (I have zero knowledge of ships, I don’t know if that is feasible)

  14. Glad at least the Estonians are definitely trying.

  15. They should have Seals sailing in these waters if they really wanted to stop them

  16. The Baltic counties curry favor with the United States too much, they bark too loudly.

  17. Estonian here. Well they cant board them by the law, unless they are inside Estonian waters. That’s pretty much the issue, they wanted to direct them into Estonian waters from the international waters.

  18. Do not use frazes like „and it’s no secret because of whom.” It sounds like a manipulation. Just write who are thinking about.

  19. OK, the Russians claim the tanker was in international waters. The Estonians say it was their territory.

    The Estonians are also fully aware that if they ever admitted that the tanker was actually in international waters, their attempt was pretty much a case of piracy, it’s obvious they had no choice but to make their claim, whether it’s true or not.

    Just something to think about. Both sides have very good and equal reasons to lie. I just can’t figure out what would the Russian vessel gain by violating any territories. Tough my knowledge is limited on this, I don’t think it had no other way to get to its destination but to pass through foreign waters.

    And obviously, even if it were in an Estonian territory, it would be extremely close to the border, definitely not deep in. The Russians would have no reason not to be careful and keep a safe distance.

    The “facts” don’t fit, obviously we don’t have all the pieces of the puzzle.
