  1. As long as NATO countries silently watch this and tolerate Putin’s troops, they will continue to bully and provoke.

  2. Shoot it down. Violation of Airspace is just as simple. No fly zone for Russian Airforce over Nato and enforce it.

If we ramp up spending and not make deterence visable its just a waste of money.

  3. Any Russian plane violating NATO airspace must be shoot down

  4. Be like Turkey

    Fucking, SHOOT IT DOWN.

its its Russia testing airspace, then hopefully it will last SECONDS before the piece of shit is shot down.

  5. Estonia shouldn’t try to pirate a fleet in common water then

  6. I’m curious what would happen if we violated them back

  7. So they cut a corner while flying over the sea for less than a minute same as tons of aircraft around the world every day? How scary, I’m sure r/Europe will have a completely normal reaction once again.

  8. I was previously downvoted by everyone in this sub for referencing Zbignew during the Russia-Ukraine debate. (I got about -3 and -2, but I was right again because everyone in this sub has low political intelligence)

Now I look back and only a few hours have passed since I said “Russia’s strong exit from Ukraine will make it an empire and lead it to the Baltics” and Russia has started provoking Estonia as I thought.

Despite the racist and disproportionate responses from people in this sub, I will reiterate the following warnings:

    1) The Russians are waiting for Thursday, if the expected gains in Ukraine are achieved, they will start to turn towards the Baltic or Finland.

    2) The next stop for Russia, as predicted by Zbignew Brzezinski: Finland-Baltic-Balkans and potentially Inner Europe and Turkey

    3) If Russia makes gains in Ukraine and the Baltics, as Zbignew says, it will no longer be a democracy or an authoritarian regime, but an “Empire”.

    4) Russia’s policy towards the Balkans and Europe in order to reach the warm seas should be carefully monitored. It is always a possibility that the Russians will turn to Cyprus or Malta.

Looking at the outlines, I have seen people writing that NATO should intervene immediately, which is just funny. Trump is very reluctant on NATO’s behalf and Erdogan is a pragmatist, so the 2 countries that can work on NATO’s behalf have already been eliminated, except for France-Britain-Poland.

By the very nature of realpolitik and political realism, Putin will seek to fill and seize opportunities from any power vacuum he finds. Russia’s main purpose in fixing the EU and the US may be to buy time for China to invade the island nation of Taiwan.

Finally, for those who downvote me and claim that I am wrong, this is the cold and bitter truth. As I predicted, the Russians will be heading towards the Baltic and Finland in 1 day (even I am surprised that it is so early).

    Good luck!

Those who are curious about my previous conclusions about Russia can check my past comments on Europe sub on my profile.

  9. People say shoot it down. I kinda agree, but it would also be a very heavy answer to a trespass that lasted less than 1 minute over the sea.

It would make any diplomatic de-escalation, however dysfunctional, extremely hard to get through.

  10. Estonian pirates wanted to seize a Russian tanker in neutral waters, but ended up getting scared by a Russian fighter jet.

  11. How is this any different than if USA fighter defends a USA ship? I view Russia as enemy nation but seriously, in this situation, what’s different?

  12. It doesn’t matter the day he’s going to bomb he’ll say I slipped boss and we won’t say anything

  13. Its funny how a bunch of “people” immediately rushed into the thread to accuse Estonia of piracy, when that incident isn’t even mentioned in the article. Propaganda, made to order.

  14. Russian airplanes violating others airspace happen all the time

  15. Part of me wishes Europe would just collectivly say fuck it and go for it against ol boris

  16. Anybody here who has seen The Grand Tour ?
Sea to salty sea episode specifically.
It’s so heartbreaking seeing that old man, plead for them to do something about the Russians who moved the border and trapped him.

  17. Japan carried out 237 scrambles from April 2024 to March 2025 because of Russian aircrafts. Only topped by 464 scrambles because of Chinese aircrafts. These countries just really likes doing such things. It’s a provocation to which only the weak minded would react with lethal force. The amount of people in the comments who want to shoot the airplane down is surprising to say the least.

  18. Just start blowing the fuckers out of the sky. This constant poking and prodding needs to end with a boom.

  19. Eeeh, it would be a shame if something happened to that nice jet you have over here.

  20. How long we’re gonna let them violate Europe until we do something? When they’ll nuke our countries and it will be too late to react?

  21. Shoot them down! Stop normalizing Putin aggression, it only emboldens him.

  22. Really curious how many of the heroes saying “shoot it down “ here are willing to lose an arm, leg or their life in a war if it came to that.

De-escalation is a thing. Being a keyboard hero pushing strong rhetoric is too easy.

  23. The little euro doggies will bark in this thread, as usual.

  24. Bringers of peace, prosperity and happiness since 1917.

  25. The su35 entered the airspace when the Estonian patrol sea vessel tried to board a tanker that was on its way to Russia

    Tit for tat
