A 48-year-old Wisconsin man was rushed to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with life-threatening injuries following a three-vehicle crash in rural Washington County on Wednesday afternoon, according to Minnesota State Patrol.
Shane Joseph Loughney, of Woodville, Wis., was driving a 2011 GMC Sierra pick-up truck eastbound on 70th Street in Denmark Township when a semi truck traveling northbound on Minnesota Highway 95 collided with his vehicle. Loughney’s pickup was pushed into a 2004 GMC Sierra in the southbound lanes of Minnesota Highway 95.
The drivers of the two other vehicles, who were both men in their 20s, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to State Patrol.
The crash occurred shortly before 2 p.m. and road conditions were dry. Cottage Grove Police, Cottage Grove Fire and EMS, the Washington County Sheriff’s office and Hastings Fire and EMS also responded to the scene.
