Just this week a ‘friend’ that had been posting nonstop conspiracy bollocks for a while announced that her nextdoor neighbour in her apartment had been dead for 3 weeks, and acted shocked when she didn’t notice. Anybody find it extremely odd that someone who is enmeshed with what would be called the elite (Dublin, UCD professor, STEM) has taken this path to self destruction? I’ve met academics, some do not have much real world experience but still, to do a 180 in career trajectory and thus life trajectory seems so bizarre. And for what? What has been achieved?
