  1. It is their right to militarize their borders, after the advancement of the born border

  2. By Brendan Cole – Senior News Reporter:

Satellite imagery has revealed an increase in Russia’s military activity near its border with Finland, signaling its intention to beef up its troops by NATO’s eastern flank.

The pictures from earth imaging company Planet Labs PBC show increased accommodation, aircraft deployment, and infrastructure construction at four military bases near the country.

Finnish military analyst Emil Kastehelmi said if Russia follows it current plans, there could be tens of thousands new soldiers near the borders of Norway, Finland and the Baltic countries in the coming years.

  3. Looks to me like someone has been paid to drive around a lot making lots of trails to make things look busy. Total russian troops: 1. Joking aside, even if there is validity to this, it’s a good thing. Fewer troops in Ukraine makes it harder for them to win. I say we place loads of troops along Russia’s border and force them to pull out of Ukraine to meet the “threat”. Play them at their own game. Russian’s love a bit of mind games so let’s fuck with their heads.

  4. i really really really really really really hope they do it

  5. Probably just moving what they have left as far away from Ukraine as possible.

  6. They can’t finish the war they started with Ukraine, so I doubt even Putin is not mad enough to take on a NATO country

  7. I don’t see how Russia, a weak military entity, gets if threatening a much stronger neighbor.

  8. They are banking that NATO collapses or at the very least the US pulls out. Russia is currently manufacturing a decent amount of T90s that they aren’t using in Ukraine…

  9. Like they have anything to move. It’s a Potemkin Village operation.

  10. Cross the line with NATO. Let the map be redrawn to remove Russia.

  11. >Satellite imagery has revealed an increase in Russia’s military activity near its border with Finland signaling its intention to beef up its troops by NATO’s eastern flank.

Like they have the troops to spare lol.

  12. If a collapse comes, Russia may confiscate all the cash in the banks to stay solvent. They may be prepping for an exodus, especially men, as the meat waves continue on the front.
To that, Putin doesn’t want peace because they literally can’t take care of the vets once they return. They may go full lockdown just to keep the military employed after they steal what cash is left in the country. Pensions etc.
    Just a guess!!

  13. This is good. Might as well station them on the moon. No one is going to invade. Just wasted resources.

  14. I’m not interested in anything Putin says or puts into the media for Musk and Trump to amplify. Putin absolutely has no soft or hard power. His military is a comedy show. His government is full of graft and fraud. He can’t even resupply the forces in Ukraine to any degree other than masses of bodies on motorcycles.

Putin’s aircraft aren’t even safe from drones. They can’t fly CAS in any way that would be effective. They are now starting to suffer more and more strikes in places that should have more defenses than a Death Star.

Ukrainian drones are killing everything moving or not moving. They are now able to launch glide bombs all over the place with little worry about Russian air defenses. The Russians don’t know how to do drone warfare in any way that’s meaningful. For them, it’s just another explosive round like artillery.

I mean, I could go on, but all Putin has in the way of power parity is in the nuclear arsenal, and he of all people knows that no one believes him, and if he was nuts enough to do it, it pretty much removes the whole impetus of starting a conflict in the first place. He won’t have an empire to rule. No one will. That’s the reason nuclear weapon threats are so much drek.

So, meh. If it were Finland vs. Russia, I’d bet anyone lunch at the Russian Tea Room on Finland to absolutely destroy everything on the Kola Peninsula all the way down to St. Petersburg. And you can kiss Kaliningrad goodbye. Only it won’t be only Finland vs. Russia.

Despite all of the barbaric killing of civilians in Ukraine, as a military force, Russia under Putin is about as scary as an overfed cat.
