Clever: that way nobody can claim NASK was trying to influence the election outcome.
Trzaskowski and Mentzen are definitely funded, although not by foreign funds, but our elites
It’s not surprising. This election is one of the most important ones in contemporary Polish history. PiS was a very pro-American party that led towards NATO integration in PL, expanded NATO presence, and close ties with the US. PO, their rivals, are more hostile to the US and want a stronger connection with the EU – lessening US ties and increasing connection to Germany. Mentzen challenges both PiS and PO and presents an alternative vision for Poland.
In essence: all 3 represent a significant change in Polish politics. If PiS wins the presidency, they will be able to block PO while continuing PiS policy (which on some levels isn’t that different from PO). If PO wins, they will have complete control over the entire country and all media, transforming Poland into a one-party state. PO will likely force through many laws, likely at the request of the EU. If Mentzen wins, it will be a sign that “third-parties” can make impact in Polish politics and can challenge the status quo – something both PiS and PO will not want.
With war going on in the East, it’s only going to get more intensive. But yes, I’m sure many countries are looking at the elections in PL right now (specifically: Germany, America, and Russia) and will want to influence them to their side of things, especially considering Poland is regaining a lot of strength. The question is: will PL subdue themselves to America/EU/Russia, or go their own way?
So, did we learn who was supporting which candidate and discrediting which?
I can’t imagine how would it work in Polish presidential elections. There are literally zero chances of pro-russian candidate getting elected because there are zero believable candidates to be potential beneficiaries of such forged elections.
I’ve reported R/polska for election interference. They’ve set up some stupid automod preventing people from replying in political posts.

Romanians be like: First time?
>NASK did not specify which candidate was being supported in the adverts and which were being attacked, but said that the three individuals in question are [Rafał Trzaskowski](https://notesfrompoland.com/2025/03/15/polish-presidential-frontrunner-pledges-to-sign-bills-on-contraception-silesian-and-constitutional-court/), [Karol Nawrocki](https://notesfrompoland.com/2025/05/14/romanian-and-polish-right-wing-presidential-candidates-simion-and-nawrocki-campaign-together/) and [Sławomir Mentzen](https://notesfrompoland.com/2025/03/29/far-right-presidential-candidates-call-for-all-polish-universities-to-charge-tuition-fees-condemned-by-rivals/), who are the three frontrunners in the campaign according to polls.
