In March, loans to the private sector, adjusted on the basis of the harmonized methodology agreed within the European System of Central Banks, increased by 0,5 percent over the twelve months (the twelve-month rate of change was zero in the previous month). This is what emerges from the publication “Banche e moneta: serie nazionale” of the Bank of Italy.
Loans to households increased by 1,1 percent (0,7 in the previous month) while those to non-financial corporations decreased by 1,1 percent (-2,1 in the previous month). Private sector deposits increased by 1,7 percent (1,4 percent in February); bond issuance increased by 3,3 percent (6,4 in February).
