“Unfairly prosecuted for helping my abusive ex”

  1. I won’t pretend to be able to give insightful comment on the experience of abuse victims, but the fact giving a partner a lift, and withdrawing cash at their request, was enough for the CPS to torture this poor woman is terrifying.

  2. If you do a search for the trial at the time – she made internet searches on whether conjugal visits were allowed in prisons during the three days he stayed at her parents house after the murder (during which time he made significant changes to his appearance such as cutting his long hair etc.). Also, the murder weapon is believed to be her father’s knife, and her parents told the court that she’d been lying about needing to borrow their car and taking him to a hospital. Obviously, she was found not guilty by a jury… so that wasn’t enough evidence to convict, but it’s a lot more than just “giving a lift and withdrawing some cash” as presented in this article.
