  1. Reminds me of the “Weapons of Mass destruction” justifying the invasion of Iraq

  2. Well, that’s it, pro-Israel gang. They got us. Israel sent the wrong video to an Australian reporter. Might as well pack it up and go home.

  3. Oh, Israel caught lying again? I am shocked, it only about the 9billionth time its happened.

  4. ABC at its finest. No evidence of tunnels despite plenty of videos online of the blast with the ground rippling upward.

  5. Oh sorry we made a mistake it’s not under a hospital it’s just under a school this time!

Lol it’s literally what the article says. Do people still think it’s fine to build terror tunnels under schools instead of investing the money into the future of these children.. ugh.

  6. There was a video of a tunnel blowing up during the strike.

  7. Sidebar: I remember reading somewhere that a large percentage (I don’t remember exactly what it is) of people do not read articles before commenting.

I do think this is an interesting litmus test for that

  8. “But analysis of satellite imagery shows the buildings highlighted are in a school 150-200 metres away.”

I won’t justify some of the actions that Netanyahu and by extension Israel and its military has taken, but when these networks are a part of almost all aspects of civil administration and services, makes it pretty hard eh?

  9. I’m going to post this as a top level comment since there are a fair amount of comments suggesting the headline is misleading. I find it to be a pretty succinct summary of the article.

Well the article(and a few extra ones to confirm) says that the IDF admit to bombing a hospital, killing up to 28 people, due to thermal imaging of a school that allegedly has tunnels under it.

In the linked article that’s the black and white image present but I saw an account from an expert that suggested that it was more than likely just water runoff due to the shape of the ‘tunnels’.

I’m not an expert in thermal imaging but black is cold, white is hot, and the temperature difference between the surface and “tunnels” seems really extreme. Especially when you consider that when you build a makeshift tunnel it’s probably a few feet underground so that it doesn’t collapse when people walk over it and dirt is a very good thermal insulator.

So, as a layman, I would probably expect it to be less extreme or more evidence to be presented alongside it, such as normal, color video recording alongside the thermal video.

As an aside it’s crazy that this is getting so difficult to research because Israel has bombed so many hospitals and that I found an article with a map of bombed hospitals. I counted 31 markers denoting hospitals bombed.

  10. When the original attack happened, people in the discussion about it were crowing about how good the video footage of it was, as it had been posted in some other sub, and how you got to see one terrorist disentegrate as more were blown to bits.

Now we find out they were all innocent doctors and patients? That’s awful, and I feel sick about the comments those gung-ho video watchers were making.

  11. do abc have a source for this ? seems to only be abc saying this?
