Good day everyone, i'll be visiting Norway in few days, is this accepted as payment method for grocery stores and restaurants? Thank you

  2. No. There is a Norwegian payment app called Vipps that is used everywhere, but unfortunately tourists can’t use it.

    If you have visa or mastercard, those will work everywhere.

  4. Visa and mastercard work everywhere. Get a prepaid visa if you don’t have one. You can also pay with google/apple-pay everywhere. Cash is also an option

  5. Alipay is established and working in Norway, but there are still few shops and restaurants accepting it. The best option in Norway is a Visa card.

  6. No, the only mobile payment accepted almost everywhere is NFC based payment options like google pay, Apple pay and similar options. If you want to pay with your phone and don’t have one of these, you can sign up to Revolut or something like it. They give you a free «virtual» debitcard that can be added to Apple pay or google pay.
