Two massive planes flying over Carmarthen way just now. Mental low. Bit of a surprise like

  1. Visit Mach sometime, this is a daily occurrence when the visibility is good. The jets are ridiculously low and loud from fairly early in the morning and they’ve really stepped up operations in the past few months.

  2. Huge Hercules over Narberth a couple of weeks back, was so low I thought it was coming down!

  3. Used to get the big transporter planes flying over all the time when I lived outside Rhydaman, always looked up in awe and thought that they’d hit the trees. 😅

  4. The flew over Llangynider (near Brecon) on their way to you

  5. I live on the Mach loop…. It can be constant but it’s so much fun to watch!

  6. They practice approach landings at Swansea airport most weeks

  7. US Air Force Hercs, following the M4 down to west Wales then turning north to go through the low level areas around Machynlleth way. Training flight, but ultimately a bit of a jolly for them.

  8. Used to watch them out over Aberystwyth bay, fly up the hill over town and then through the valley!

  9. They flew over us today too and about the same time yesterday ✈️✈️😍😍

  10. I see these all the time I once spotted a low flying chinook

  11. What’s the problem? They’re no where near you. We get them turning above our village and close to roof height.

I’m guessing you’re near Brecon? We’re near Salisbury Plain. Two of the places in the UK where you can see road signs with bullet holes 🙂
