peace talks are pointless when one side is nowhere near ready for peace. it doesn’t lead to peace. it’s just a pointless waste of time focus and resources. russia will not be ready for peace until they are crushed. They are just buying time because they still believe they can get the whole of Ukraine sooner or later – and hundreds of thousands of psychologically and physically damaged soldiers returning to russia is a greater threat than continuing this war – especially since their entire economy is now dependant on the war. so they will delay delay delay and destroy destroy destroy.
I also think that we all need to think very carefully why russia believes it will win. And yes. They do need to be crushed. Same as always in the past… and no wonder russia has had so many collapses in its history. They just never stop until they collapse into complete chaos.
