BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – Every country wants access to oil and natural gas. While there isn’t infighting in the United States, there is on the international stage.
The U.S. is the world’s leading oil and natural gas producer and the leading exporter of gas. As international relations continue to take shape, Ron Ness, President of the North Dakota Petroleum Council, sees exports increasing.
“We’ve got great gas resources in America that are probably underdeveloped because there’s just not enough markets for them. So, I see that as one of the huge bright spots of American energy going forward,” said Ness.
According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, America exports about 10 million barrels of crude oil and gas per day to 173 countries and three U.S. territories.
